Eve my treasure,
They Lived Their Dream
By the summer of 1949, Antoni and Antonina accomplished their dream of building a dream home. It is said that one should follow their dreams. The basic premise to this statement is that all dreams can come true. Everyone has dreams. All people aspire to goals and ideals which are just out of reach. Most people view their dreams as fantasy. It’s fun to imagine the attainment of a goal and revel in the ecstasy of accomplishment. We all know that much of what we think we want, we will never experience. Dreams are the child of creative imagination, deductive reasoning and desire for individual, family and community betterment. We are children of a creative, imaginative God. It is step by step from bad to good, good to better, better to best and best to best possible. God always progresses to better yet. Being created in his image, a righteous man also progresses in his dreams to better yet. This was the secret to the success of Antoni and Antonina. They always thought in terms of better yet. They made the best of hard times. They dared to believe and strive for the achievement of their dream from its inception on the banks of the Rudawa River where they looked out across the fields and imagined ‘Marzenie’. From that moment they worked toward that goal. They lived their dream! Antonina was the ultimate dream of Antoni and he always held her in the highest esteem above all others. Antoni was the ultimate dream of Antonina and she remained faithful to him and stood by her man through every trial or tribulation each new day brought their way. They were one. God honored this couple because they had faith to believe when the oppressive German and Russian occupiers choked out all hope and promise. Together they dreamed of building a home and raising a family. Poland needed children who could overcome the communist atheistic teachings and propaganda which attempted to stamp out all religious freedom and expression of faith. Antoni and Antonina succeeded in this quest as well. But they did not stop living their dream when they occupied their home. That day was a phase of a life dream which would live in them until the Most High God took them home to their eternal reward. The building of a home presented a new set of expectations and responsibilities. The next 49 years would be a struggle to keep their home. We all must hold on to our dreams if they are to come to fruition. Antoni & Antonina held on their dream. They lived their dream. God blessed them in the pursuit of their dream. He was pleased when they conquered every obstacle deliberately set in their way by the enemy of all men.
May our God be with us as we live our dream, Kochany
